ABOUT US

Out of Concept is an international photography collective dedicated to bringing together artists who share similar interests and creative visions. Our mission is to foster collaboration, exchange ideas, offer mutual support, and grow together through artistic challenges. We believe that community ignites new perspectives and fuels individual growth.

The group was founded by photographer and game designer Jovan Svorcan (1971) as a natural continuation of the successful photo contest “Out of Concept,” which attracted photographers from around the world and received numerous positive comments. Inspired by this enthusiasm, Jovan created a lasting space for free expression, experimentation, and collaboration.

Based in Belgrade, he lives and creates at the intersection of visual art and digital innovation. His passion for photography began in his teenage years, and since transitioning to digital in 2008, he has explored minimalist, abstract, and geometric themes, with a strong focus on conceptual and street photography. Since 2024, he has actively participated in exhibitions and competitions, earning 30 medals (including 15 gold) and 30 honorable mentions at 65 international exhibitions. Among these, he proudly highlights the NPUM National Gold Medal awarded at the Photo Story exhibition organized by the Photo Club Kumanovo. For him, photography is not just visual—it’s emotional, philosophical, and deeply personal.

Out of Concept continues that vision by offering photographers a platform to grow and share their work through:

  • Online exhibitions – curated showcases featuring members and like-minded artists
  • Photo contests – open challenges with results presented through exhibitions on our website
  • Workshops, themed challenges, and discussions – because photography is not only about what we see, but how we choose to see it
