DANIELA MINEVA

Daniela Mineva

Daniela Mineva was born in Veliko Tarnovo, Bulgaria. She holds a degree in philosophy. By profession, she is a graphic designer and photographer. Her journey into photography began during her school years, when she developed film in a darkroom. Since then, her primary focus has been portrait photography. For her, photographic portraits are an attempt to reach the essence of the subject—free from the transient and the momentary. A person as they are when alone with themselves.

As a photographer, she believes her main task is to create an atmosphere of calm and trust, to be an invisible presence in which the subject can open up. Over the years, she has taken part in numerous competitions and photographic salons. She has held several solo exhibitions, as well as joint shows with artists from other fields. She was a finalist in the Photolympic 2024 competition in Novi Sad.

She is the author of several photographic projects, among which the most notable are: “Creating Together,” “Pomegranate,” “Faces in Silence,” “Mothers and Sons,” and the social experiment “A Photo with a Stranger,” among others. She has developed her own method called Therapeutic Photography, which combines portrait photography with emotional therapy—focused on women and how they perceive themselves.

We are currently showcasing one of her notable exhibitions, “ARTISTS’ PORTRAIT”, offering just a glimpse into the depth of her photographic vision. Through a series of intimate artist portraits, the exhibition invites viewers to look beyond the surface—into a space of silence, vulnerability, and creative presence.
